Hi Reader! You probably know I’m a big fan of keeping your personal and business finances separate. I’m a big believer of this because:
And these days with dozens of banks offering free business checking, you have no excuse to not have a business checking account. (I’ve used Novo for years and love them. You can use my code to open your account and we’ll both get $40!) But even if you have a business bank account (or credit card), you might not have all your business expenses coming out of those accounts.
This is why your assignment this week is to review your personal banking and credit card transactions and move one recurring transaction from your personal to business accounts. This is even more critical for those of you with LLCs, because keeping your personal and LLC money separate is a legal requirement to keep your LLC fence strong. And mixing them up is the fastest and easiest way to punch holes in your fence. 👉 Your assignment: Move one business expense from your personal accounts to your business accounts. I'll be sitting at my computer until about 9:30 AM Pacific and I'd love to help you celebrate when you are done or help you bust through any roadblocks you hit when completing this week's task. (And if you are reading this after then, please reply! I'll get back to you ASAP.) Chat soon,
P.S. I’m gearing up for our next challenge inside the artist’s Courtyard! Which of these three challenges would most help your business? Other things on my radar...
